While listening to a Toronto Blue Jays baseball game last night, I heard play by play man Jerry Howarth mention that there was an Amber alert (child abduction alert) out for a missing Toronto boy. He said he’d give more information “after this at bat”. He and color commentator Alan Ashby were discussing whether Yunel Escobar’s base hit should’ve been scored a single or a double, so they didn’t get to the kid until after the first pitch of the next batter. According to Howarth, police are concerned.
